Legal Requirements for Marrying in HawaiiGetting married in Hawaii is legally similar to getting married in any other state. Getting a marriage license here is straightforward; if you're over 19, the only required ID is a driver's license or other state-issued ID (if you're 18, you'll also need a copy of your birth certificate). There is no waiting period after obtaining your marriage license (fee of $60 applies), and no blood tests are required. There are also no Hawaiian residency requirements. Once obtained, your marriage license is good for 30 days, and the officiant of your ceremony must be registered with the State of Hawaii's Department of Health for the marriage to be valid.
